Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a very urgent request. My home—which is also the headquarters for my fiber art business, is at a critical crossroads.
Our current roof has reached a point where repairs are no longer enough. We recently received notice that if we do not have the roof professionally replaced by September, our homeowners' insurance policy will be canceled. In today’s market, losing insurance would ultimately mean losing our home.
The Plan:
We are not looking for a quick fix or a temporary patch. We have done our research and decided to invest in a metal roof. In our part of Tennessee, the weather can be unpredictable, and a metal roof will provide the long-term durability and safety we need to ensure this never happens again.
The Goal:
We have been gathering estimates and have found a professional path forward that will cost between $6,000 and $8,000. This amount covers:
Full removal of the old roofing material.
Professional installation of a high-quality metal roof.
The certification paperwork required to satisfy our insurance company and keep our policy active.
How You Can Help:
If you know me, you know I love creating through my crochet and fiber art. My home is my sanctuary and my studio, and the thought of losing it is devastating.
Any amount you can contribute—whether it’s $10 or $100—will go directly toward this replacement. If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this link with your network. Every share brings us one step closer to a dry home and a secure future.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting our family during this scary time.
With gratitude,
Holly
