Help Save Our Home and Support My Dad Through His Recovery

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Alexandra I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in saving the home my family has cherished for over 40 years. My dad owns 50% of the house, but the other owners are taking legal action to pursue a sale. We desperately want to keep the house but we are not currently in a position to buy them out.

This house is so much more than just bricks and mortar. It was lovingly renovated by my grandma, who adopted my dad when he was 8 years old. She put her heart and soul into making it a home and a safe haven filled with love and memories. To my dad, it’s a symbol of his mother’s love and a lasting connection to the woman who gave him a second chance at life. Losing it now would be heartbreaking, especially during such a difficult time.

Recently, my dad underwent major surgery to remove liver cancer. The operation was intense, and complications nearly took his life. Although he survived, his recovery has been long and challenging, with stretches of being unable to work. The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming, but my dad has faced it all with incredible courage and strength. Unfortunately, this action comes at the worst possible time. While my dad is focusing on healing, the looming threat of losing his home has cast a dark cloud over his recovery.

After my mum passed away, my dad took me in without hesitation, despite the years we had been separated due to a custody battle. That battle had been an enormous financial and emotional burden for him, but when I needed him, he stepped up without a second thought. He gave me the love and support I needed to heal from a devastating loss, and now I want to do everything I can to support him in return.

I’m asking for your generosity to help us raise the funds needed to keep our family home, assist with my dad’s legal aid, and give him a chance to focus on his health without the fear of losing the place that means the world to him.
