Help Save Our Family Homestead

My name is James, and I’m reaching out for help to keep my family’s homestead going after the recent loss of my grandfather, James Whitmore. For over 30 years, this home has been the heart of our family, and now I live here with my fiancé, our four children—two of which are adopted teens—and my uncle. My grandfather’s passing has left us not only grieving, but also facing urgent challenges to keep our home safe and livable.

Right now, our biggest struggle is that we cannot use water in the house. The well needs to be replaced, and the home itself is in need of repairs. We are also facing issues with our vehicles, which are essential for getting to work, school, and running daily errands. Without a working well, we can’t drink, clean, do dishes, or even bathe the kids. We’re at a standstill, unable to move forward without help. This fundraiser is our main hope for getting the support we need to fix the well, repair the home, and get our vehicles running so our family can stay together in the place that means so much to us.
