Hi, my name is Leah and I’m raising funds to save my best friend, love of my life, Newt.

Newt is a 9-year-old Blue Heeler with the biggest heart, the sweetest smile, and believes every person he meets is his new best friend.

Two weeks ago, I found a mass growing in the back of his mouth and immediately rushed him to the vet. After a biopsy and tests, we learned the heartbreaking news that Newt has cancer. It’s aggressive, and it’s already affecting his ability to eat and be comfortable.

He has multiple oncology appointments set up this week, and he’ll need a CT scan and intensive treatment right away to give him a real chance.

I am doing everything in my power to get him the care he needs, but the medical bills are already more than I can manage alone.

Newt isn’t “just a dog.” He’s my family. He has been there for me through some of the hardest moments of my life, and now I’m determined to be there for him.
