My family and I are in a difficult place and I’m reaching out for support.

My sister is currently in the hospital, struggling with complications related to her kidney. For some context, she underwent a kidney transplant in December 2019, and since then she has had to manage continuous checkups and daily medication and it was going well. Over the past week, her condition has worsened her body has been retaining water, she is having acute kidney rejection and she has had to undergo several treatments

Despite multiple treatments and intensive care, her transplanted kidney is no longer functioning as it should.

In an effort to give her the best possible chance, we had to move her to a better-equipped hospital, where she is currently receiving specialized care. So far, over ₦25,000,000 (approximately €14,450) has already been spent and this has been only on treatment and hospital care, not including the transplant itself.

After careful evaluation, the doctors have advised that the next and most viable option is a kidney transplant.

At this point, the purpose of this GoFundMe is now very clear:

to help fund my sister’s kidney transplant and the care surrounding it.

Our target for the surgery is €26,000 (₦45 million).

The amount shown on GoFundMe doesn’t fully reflect our progress because we are also receiving donations through our Nigerian (Naira) account.

When we combine both the GoFundMe donations and the Naira contributions, we have raised €17,000 (₦30 million) so far.
