Help Save my dad's life: Urgent Surgery needed in Honduras

Hello, Dora Flores here, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help to save my dad’s life. Two years ago, my parents moved back to Honduras after living in the United States for 45 years, where they worked tirelessly to provide for our family. They returned to their homeland to retire and pursue their dream of a simpler life, having a house and growing sweet potatoes on their land. My dad always held 2-3 jobs living here in the United States and had zero retirement here and made the best choice for him and my mom to build their home and a new life back in Honduras. My dad, a hardworking man who always put us above himself, now faces a life-threatening medical crisis, and we urgently need your support to get him the care he needs.

Two weeks ago, my dad was admitted to the hospital due to a severe infection in his foot, caused by complications from his diabetes. The infection was so serious that doctors had to amputate his foot. While the surgery was successful, his condition remains critical. Further tests revealed serious issues with his heart, kidney stones, and severe hemorrhoids, all requiring immediate surgical intervention. He’s losing blood rapidly, and in just the past four days, he’s needed five pints of blood to keep him stable.

To receive the specialized care he needs, my dad must be transferred to a hospital in the capital three hours away. This transfer, along with the life-saving surgeries and ongoing treatment, comes with significant costs that my family cannot cover alone. My dad has always worked hard for our family and put us before himself, working tirelessly to give us a better life. I knew that my parents would move back.
