Help Support My Best Friend’s Mom in Her Battle with a Brain Tumor

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend Irem and her amazing mom.

Recently, Irem’s mom was diagnosed with a stage four brain tumor. In an incredibly infuriatingly short amount of time I watched as their lives turned their world upside down. If you’ve ever lost a parent, I’m sure you know this has to be any child’s worst nightmare, to see their parent sick like this and to have limited ways in which we can help. Please we’re asking all of you to come together with love, and support, because outside of the emotional strain and distress this has thrown us into, a huge financial burden comes with her diagnosis as well. Help us take the weight off their shoulders. She’s not just my best friends mom—she’s the heart of their family, a kind soul who lights up any room, and someone who’s always worked hard for her family. My friend Irem just had her first baby, and moved back to Turkey so that her mom could experience her first grandchild when they received terrible news.

Now, she needs our help.

Between medical treatments, hospital visits, time off work, and ongoing care, the financial burden is overwhelming. While they focus on what truly matters— health and healing—we want to ease some of that stress.
