My name is Rahul Modi, and I am a Life Scout with Troop 5 currently working towards achieving the rank of Eagle Scout through a meaningful community service project in Wallingford, Connecticut. As part of this effort, I aim to help improve emergency preparedness by providing First Aid and Stop the Bleed kits throughout government buildings in the community. Having these kits readily available on every floor can make a huge difference during medical emergencies in the critical moments right before EMS personnel arrive. Knowing how and when to use lifesaving first aid equipment is an essential skill that can help save lives.
My project’s goal is to provide 200 first aid and Stop the Bleed kits to the town of Wallingford's Department of Health. The kits will be assembled with the help of fellow Boy Scouts and are designed to offer immediate, lifesaving assistance during medical emergencies.
To successfully complete this project, I am working to raise $1,500 to purchase the necessary medical supplies and materials for the kits. This project depends on the generosity and support of the community. Every donation, regardless of size, will directly contribute to making Wallingford a safer and better-prepared community.
