Help save LA's Towne Square: Keep Rock n Roll Alive

Ok Towne Square was started in October of 2023, after a tenacious, desparate, humiliating three year down town LA real estate hunt, while working full time, reeling from the death of infamous Rec Center. their first show was November 17th with pulpo from Korea and leech from Japan, when tromaville got rained out.

It was one of the most happiest, proudest night of my life. I wanted to carry the torch and revive the community as most gigs and shows were booked at bars and restaurants groups dtla branches. Ppl were losing interest and the crowd was turning into more privileged scene as door and drinks were becoming less affordable.

On my own free will, I was willing to fulfill this empty void and bring back the reason I know everybody and my network. As my comrades went into their separate directions and get their shit together, working , earning and saving money in God awful LA, occasionally hanging out. But hanging out wasn't enough, I wanted to work together towards a common goal and vision again. Through uplifting artists, I wanted to improve and energize the community again.

I wanted to give more meaning in my life by taking the responsibility and stress of another radical venue. I knew it was gonna to be frustrating and lose money, be disresppected, stolen from, threatened, cleaning the filth and sweeping the trash. But you guys deserve it, LA deserves it. And it gave purpose and a thing to fight for. I thank you for the opportunity to serve my community. I am grateful to put full effort into something I believe in wholeheartedly. It has been monumentally fulfilling and satisfying. But lofty visions need sacrifice. I need some support to get through the months as the fires has messed up January and I need to fix the mirror and toilet. I know it's been a very long and hard 2025 already, and things are expensive. I will not take anything for granted. If you believe in this and enjoyed the space, that has been impossibly carved out of DTLA, please consider helping me and our space out. It's my life's work and you will be saving the community, LA rock and roll, and a slice of sweet sweet soaring freedom. If I fail, we all fail. FOR THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE PEOPLE!!!!
