Hi, my name is Sona, and I am raising funds for my cousin Kul Rai who is struggling for his life in the ICU of Patan Hospital (Lalitpur, Nepal) due to acute liver failure.

Kul is one of those people who never had much but always gave what little he could and I was fortunate to share many childhood memories with him. Life has tested him in every possible way but today as I write this, he is fighting the hardest battle of his life.

In 2017 he lost his beloved brother and his sister is fighting with cancer as we speak; he laboured tirelessly in a small farm often working long and exhausting hours to provide for his family. In hopes of a better future, he and his parents took a loan to send his wife to Dubai for work however they found heartbreak instead of relief - she has since left him and as he lies in a critical condition, all he has by his side are his elderly parents and little daughter Sanya.

Kul is clinging to his life, his liver is failing and time is running out. We have spent over 2 million NRS on his treatment but the costs are escalating every single day, we have given all we can and his parents have sold everything and borrowed all they can, yet it is still not enough to save their son. Every hour in the ICU brings a new wave of fear and ever-growing medical bill that is far beyond our sustenance.

I am reaching out with a heavy heart but also with hope that compassion can transcend borders, and that together we can give Kul a fighting chance. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help ease the crushing financial burden and bring him closer to recovery, closer to seeing his daughter smile again.
