Hello, my name is Natalia Ishchuk, and I’m writing on behalf of someone very dear to me — Galyna.

We’ve known each other since childhood — from our very first days in kindergarten and all the way through school. While life took us in different directions for a time, in recent years we’ve grown close again, and I’ve come to admire her strength and resilience more than ever.

Galyna is a loving wife and a devoted mother to a little girl named Bohdana. Over the past decade, she has already battled cancer twice — and won. But now, for the third time, she is facing a much more aggressive and complex diagnosis: triple-negative infiltrative carcinoma in both breasts, alongside a BRCA1 genetic mutation. This is not just a recurrence — it’s a whole new battle.

She has already undergone multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and treatments, and now doctors are recommending another year-long targeted therapy (Olaparib) and potentially six more rounds of chemotherapy with Paclitaxel and Carboplatin. All of this comes at an overwhelming cost — more than $50,000 — an unthinkable amount for an ordinary family living in Kyiv, especially during wartime.

Galyna’s body is tired, but her spirit is still holding on. Not for herself, but for her daughter. Bohdana is still so young — she needs her mother. And Galyna desperately wants to live, to raise her child, to be there for the milestones that matter most.
