Help Save Chicken’s Life — Emergency Vet Care & Possible Surgery
Hi, my name is Pamela, and I’m asking for help to save my cat, Chicken — my sweet, stubborn little fighter who’s been through so much in just a few days. He is supposed to turn 7 years this summer.
Chicken was rushed to the emergency vet with a life-threatening urinary blockage, something that can be fatal in male cats if not treated immediately. Since then, he’s been in the hospital for 7 days and has endured:
- 3 catheterizations
- A severe and ongoing urinary bleed
- Hospitalization with IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain meds
And now, he’s developed anemia and needs a blood transfusion and ultrasound just to stabilize.
If his condition doesn’t improve, the next step may be PU surgery (perineal urethrostomy), a serious but potentially life-saving procedure that would prevent future blockages.
I’ve already maxed out my CareCredit limit of $3,500, and the costs are now rising beyond what I can manage alone:
$3,100–$4,000 for current emergency care, transfusion, and imaging
$2,500–$3,000 if PU surgery becomes necessary
I’m doing everything I can for Chicken, and I know he still has fight in him — but I need help to keep going.
Every donation goes directly to his vet bills. Even a small amount helps, and if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means the world to me.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers — and for helping Chicken have a chance at the long, happy life he deserves.
