Help Save baby Raine – A Brave Pony Fighting for Her Life

At Pegasus Safe Haven Pony Sanctuary, every pony has a story — but few have shown the courage and heart of Raine.

Raine was born at the sanctuary to a mare who was taken in whilst in foal in very poor condition. To give her the best chance with 1-1 care, she went out to a vetted loan home, unfortunately, after a short time, due to no fault of Pegasus, she was brought back and was fighting a severe case of redworm, leaving her weak, underweight, and fragile.

Despite it all, Raine never gave up. With gentle care, lots of medication, good food, and lots of love, she began to regain her strength — and we saw her bright, sweet personality start to shine through.

But now, our brave girl is facing another battle.

Raine has recently fallen seriously ill and is currently receiving specialist veterinary care, which may now require inpatient treatment at the hospital. The vets are doing everything they can to help her, but the costs are already mounting — and as a small sanctuary that runs entirely on donations, we need your help to give her the best possible chance.

* Raine’s emergency veterinary assessments and tests

* Hospital inpatient treatment and 24-hour monitoring

* Life-saving medications and ongoing care

* Safe transport to and from the veterinary hospital
