My name is Caitlin and I’m trying to save this old mill. Thirty years ago I became a general contractor specializing in historic preservation. Recently, I took on my biggest challenge yet: saving an early 1800s mill that was at risk of being demolished for development. I purchased the property by investing my retirement to keep it from being lost. Since then, I’ve worked to hold the structure together and protect what remains. This mill is a rare and important piece of history, and everyone who visits is struck by how much of it is still intact. But I’ve reached a critical point.
