The Alpha Pi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated was founded on the campus of Langston University on October 28, 1933. Langston University is the first and only Historically Black College and University in the state of Oklahoma and the Alpha Pi Chapter is likewise the first Kappa Chapter in the state.
Over the last 85 years the brothers of the Alpha Pi chapter have achieved great success through their community service and that dedication has not only added to the legacy and history of Langston University but also to the state of Oklahoma and the region that the school sits in.
The chapter has won several awards throughout its existence, both within the fraternity and the university, and has served as a launching pad for young men as they move on to serve and lead in various fields of human endeavor
Alpha Pi Members have graduated and continued to achieve in fields of human endeavor such as education, health and wellness, criminal justice and politics.
Inasmuch as these young men have risen to the occasion and served as examples of brotherhood, leadership and achievement, the bond has seen its share of trails throughout its existence.
This my friends is the greatest trial our Chapter has seen yet.
Due to ongoing litigation from a tragic incident that occurred in 2015, the Chapter has incurred penalties and fines in the amount of $10,000 that need to brought current by January 10th, 2019. (update Fines are now due by December 31, 2018!)
If you are like me and remember what Alpha Pi, and chapters like Alpha Pi have done for you in your maturation to adulthood, please rise to the occasion and donate $100 to keep the legacy of achievement going for generations to come.
If just 100 of us donate $100 we will reach our goal and ensure the chapters future. To be clear, if the $10,000 is not raised, the chapter will be suspended indefinitely and likely removed from the Fraternity's roster of active chapters. Our history and our future is at stake!
