Help Save a Life: Kidney for a Brother in Need

Hello everyone, I’ve decided to start a GoFundMe to help raise money for a potential donor to donate a kidney for my baby brother. My brother David, has been on the waiting list for a kidney donor for sometime now, a little over 3 years while also having to have dialysis treatments. The money from this fundraiser will be used towards an eligible donor, someone willing to commit and complete the necessary steps ensuring that they are 100% committed to donating one of their kidneys. They other half of the money would be used towards the donees betterment, helping him repair or replace his source of transportation so that he may continue traveling back and forth to his appointments and have reliable means of transportation. My brother has been battling kidney disease for the past 3 years. He goes to dialysis 3 times a week and sometimes drives out to Boston seeking alternative options to gaining a kidney sooner. The money from this fundraiser will not only be used towards the donor, but also towards the donee.

My brother has faced challenges outside of his kidney failure disease, like having his car broken into 3 times, car accidents and car troubles which sometimes result in more stress. My brother is still very young, he’s 33 years young. I’m here for my mother (60), my other baby brother (30), and myself (35). We are all that we have, we lost our father at a very young age, 37 due to some of our family hereditary diseases.

We come here desperately, hoping and praying my brother’s fate will not be the same. My brothers and I share a very close bond with each other and would be devastated if something were to happen. At the end of the day, we get it and we know that everyone has to die someday, but we refuse to let it be due to hereditary reasons. Only GOD can make that choice. My brother is a very kind soul, big-hearted type of guy. He’s had many challenges and came out on top. We know this will just be another one of our challenges and we will do everything in our power to find my brother a kidney. To anyone who is unable to donate, we understand.
