Please Help My Son Heal from a Rare Brain Attacking Autoimmune Disease.

We’ve waited over a year in the U.S. but now time is running out to save his health and we need to act now!

For over 10 years and after countless misdiagnoses, it turns out that my son has been fighting a rare neurological autoimmune disease that is attacking his neurons and normal brain development that could be permanent if not treated immediately. On the outside, he looks like a normal healthy teen because he makes the fight look easy but behind closed doors he has had to miss entire semesters of school, can’t attend public school, has missed out on parts of his childhood that he will never get back. He battles daily exhaustion, confusion, debilitating pain and symptoms that no child should have to experience.

He dreams of playing college basketball and building a bright future. Right now, those dreams are at risk and as much as he wants to keep his struggles private, I have been carrying the physical, emotional and financial toll on my own for over 10 years. The weight is getting too heavy for us to carry alone and as his mom, I feel it is time we reach out to our community to lean on and ask for help and support.
