Update on Surgery Date 07/03/25
Unfortunately, Savannah’s surgery has been postponed due to complications. It is now tentatively scheduled for September 3rd.
In the meantime, we will be keeping this GoFundMe open to continue gathering support and funds for Savannah as we prepare for the new date.
We are truly grateful for your understanding, kindness, and continued support during this time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Hi everyone,
My name is Sara, and today I’m reaching out with a full heart and hopeful spirit to ask for your support for someone incredibly special—my sister, Savannah.
Savannah has made the brave and selfless decision to donate one of her kidneys to our beloved aunt, Ann Nowak. Ann has been courageously battling kidney cancer for some time now, and this past year, we received the incredible news that Savannah is a match. Since then, they have both undergone countless medical tests, doctor’s appointments, and rigorous evaluations to prepare for this life-saving procedure. After months of planning, the surgery is now being aimed for the date, July 23rd.
This act of love speaks volumes about who Savannah is: compassionate, courageous, and always putting others before herself. She’s giving our aunt a second chance at life—something truly priceless.
However, as with many things in life, this beautiful act comes with challenges. Savannah will need to take about six weeks off of work to recover after surgery. As you can imagine, being out of work for that long comes with financial stress—especially while taking care of her daughter, River, during this time. Savannah is not only facing the physical demands of recovery, but also the responsibilities of being a loving and attentive mother.
That’s where I’m humbly asking for your help.
Any amount you can give—big or small—will go directly toward supporting Savannah during her recovery. Your donations will help cover her living expenses and ensure she can focus on healing and caring for River, without the added burden of financial worry.
If you’re unable to give at this time, sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family would also mean the world to us. Your support, in any form, is deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for being part of this journey. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Savannah, Ann, and our family during this time.
With gratitude,
Sara
