My name is Sarah, and I live with my family on a beautiful 4.5 acre mini farm in Fairmount. Our home has always been a place of love and support, where three families have come together to care for each other. My mother, my aunt, my cousin, and I have all lived here, along with my grandparents, who sadly passed away after living with us since 2017. My father also passed away in our home, and after losing their income, we began to struggle financially.
The third family living with us is another cousin and his fiancé, who came to us during their own hardship and have been doing great since living with their supportive family. On May 21st, 2026, our house caught fire. We started the claim with our homeowners insurance, but they told us we cannot stay in the house during repairs. Now, we need to rehome seven people, twelve dogs, and two cats for the next 8-10 months. I will have to return to the house twice a day to feed my animals, and none of us want to leave our home. We are open to anything that will help us stay together and keep our animals safe.
Donations will help us stay together by allowing us to purchase RVs for each family, so we can live on our land and continue as normally as possible. This will save us money on gas, food, and housing for our animals, and help us stay close to our community and our upholstery shop in town square. In the long run, your support will help us recover and, hopefully, take a much-needed vacation after our new house is built.
I am deeply grateful for any support. I will pray for blessings for every donor and thank God for each person who helps us. I love our town of Fairmount and cherish every neighbor, friend, and member of our community. Any donation, big or small, will make a difference for us.
