Help Sarah keep Faith and Jaydon safe

Hi, my name is Doug. I'm Jaydon and Faith's grandfather. I'm raising money to help pay for attorney and witness fees for an ongoing court battle to keep an accused abusive "father" away from these children. About 4 years ago, mom fled the home because of ongoing domestic, physical and mental abuse to her and the children.  At that time, Faith was 5 and Jaydon was 8.   Faith has a speech and learning disability that at the time made it difficult for the average person to understand her when she attempted to talk. But mom understood her as any mother would. The revelations of the depth and scope of the abuse is still ongoing.

Each of the children are working through the trauma they experienced with the help of professionally trained counselors.  I'm happy to report that Faith is now finding her voice and has made great progress on the road to healing from the unspeakable horrors committed against her. Jaydon is also working through a lot of trauma that he both witnessed and experienced at the hands of the accused. We want to make sure this success continues, which is why we continue to fight for both children. The Court/Judge has ruled there is clear and convincing evidence the children suffered trauma and it's in their best interest to have no contact with the "father". That may seem like its the end of the story but it isn't.  He continues to file motions for reconciliation with the children and is on his third lawyer. Until the court removes all his parental rights he can do this until they become adults. Is it an attempt to drive Sarah into complete poverty so she has no more resources to fight or an attempt to intimidate the children to not reveal the horrors committed against them or something else?

This court battle has been going on for nearly 4 years and there have been many court hearings and will be many more in the future. If you have never experienced the hardship of attorney fees, count yourself fortunate. At $300 and hour, the cost adds up quickly. Just one witness, a professional counselor, charges up to $350 an hour for her testimony and time spent in court, so one day long court session is an astronomical charge! Sarah has already spent thousands of dollars up to this point.  This has become more costly than Sarah ever imagined possible. That is why she needs your help!

If you think this is just a scam to rip people off , the next court hearing is scheduled for a day long hearing in August 2021. Court is currently being live streamed due to Covid rules. How long that continues is anyone's guess, but if interested, the upcoming August hearing is available to the public to view. If you would like to watch, contact me and I will provide you with that information. If allowed back in the court room you could stop in and watch it for yourself. The abuse allegations are a matter of the public court record.
