Help Sarah Henry & her girls

Sarah Henry is a friend to many and activist for all. She's a local business owner, educated and inclusive doula and a known and loved Astorian, especially within the maternal/fetal/lactation wellness, spiritual development and fellow parent communities. It's no secret to those close to her that she has been fighting a lengthy custody battle and trying to settle her divorce for a couple of years. Through this, she has continued to be the main caregiver for her young girls, worked her businesses and side jobs to pay legal fees, rent and leases and even had to move out of their house to jump through the hoops set up via this prolonged legal battle. She shared with me that this month, through this last set of court dates to hopefully settle or finalize their divorce and custody arrangements, she could no longer pay her legal counsel and owes her attorney. She represented herself. Sarah is about 25k in the hole and also needs to recoup moving and living expenses, as well as lost wages. I set up this fundraiser because I feel if everyone she has helped or worked with through North Star Doula Services or Lumen Community Wellness the last ten plus years chipped in $25, we could make her whole again. In these uncertain financial times with soaring inflation and rates rising, being in debt while caring full-time for a family and several businesses is a major struggle. No one should have to sacrifice to stay afloat. She's helped my family and many others in times of need and we need to return that kindness and consideration. Please donate if you can and share this!
