Sarah is a girl in the Philippines (a third world country) who I met 5 years ago. She is half-British (apparently), but she has never met her father. She is one many so called "abandoned by tourist father" children. Unfortunately, this is very common in the Philippines and other countries that suffer from poverty. Sarah looks different to the other local children, she will always be different. She will always have the feeling of not belonging. I feel connected to her as I myself am biracial and can relate to this feeling. The difference between us is, that I was lucky enough that my parents stayed together and I grew up in Europe with first world privileges, like proper housing, good education, nice clothes, technology, etc. I would like to brighten Sarah day by giving her a beautiful birthday. She is turning 12 on the 6th of November and a birthday party in the Philippines is not something many can afford. People here live in extreme poverty. Help me make Sarah happy, even if it is just for one day. I asked Sarah what she likes, she said she would like a phone, some fried chicken and a chocolate cake on her birthday. New clothes, new shoes, school supply and some really basic things that might be unimportant to you can mean the world for kids like Sarah. Let's make her party reality, fried chicken and chocolate cake for Sarah and her classmates. Let's make her day! My birthday is on the 12th so I will be celebrating with her. I will also be documenting this day on my social media account, follow me if you like to be keep in the loop. Thank you so much for your help!
