Sarah Foti is a lifelong beekeeper and small business owner in Citrus County, Florida. Her family’s beekeeping operation began in the early 1970s when her father started the business. For decades, beekeeping has been more than a job for Sarah and her family—it has been their way of life, their passion, and a legacy passed down through generations.

On the morning of June 7th, tragedy struck when a fire started inside Sarah’s barn, causing a devastating fire. In a matter of moments, much of what she had spent a lifetime building was destroyed. The fire consumed valuable farm equipment, decades-old bee boxes, tools essential to her business, and countless personal belongings. Among the losses were irreplaceable family heirlooms and treasured items passed down from her father—pieces of family history that can never truly be replaced.

Anyone who knows Sarah knows how incredibly hardworking, resilient, and dedicated she is. She is one of the kindest people you could ever meet, always willing to lend a helping hand, share her knowledge, and support those around her. Her intelligence, determination, and love for her bees and community have earned her the respect of countless friends, neighbors, and customers throughout Citrus County.
