Hi, I’m Sara. I am a 37-year-old mother of three. My life was flipped completely upside down in January 2023. My partner of 13 years passed away suddenly, and because we were not legally married, I lost everything we’d spent years accumulating and building together. I moved to Florida in February '23 after his funeral with nothing but what I could pack and take on an airplane. All we could take was the clothes on our backs. Luckily for me, my aunt and uncle took me and my kids into their home.

During the time that we stayed there, I worked several different jobs but have been lost since he passed. My aunt gifted me a Kia Soul, and I decided to take the Kia Soul and again everything that we could carry with a dog and a cat and search for a new home and fresh start. My Kia broke down; my motor seized up due to a recall, but because I did not have oil receipts along with proof of regular oil changes, they denied fixing my engine. The Kia dealership in Tyler, TX still has my vehicle as I type this. I cannot afford to get my Kia out, and it’s my only form of transportation with three teenagers. My kids go to school online but would like to do sports and other activities that I am not able to get them to.

I’m asking for a little bit of help to get me through this hard time because I am not yet fixed, but I need my Kia fixed. It’s the only thing that I have to my name. If you could find it in your heart to give me a little bit of help so I can get my car and my life together for my kids and for myself, I would be eternally grateful!
