Help Sara and Rana Stay Safe – Give Them a Future

Their Story

Two sisters—Sara, 13, and Rana, 7—are currently in an immigration shelter in the United States. They arrived here alone, with only a small backpack and a stuffed bear. Their journey was long and difficult, fleeing from an unsafe environment no child should ever have to grow up in.

They came seeking safety, but now face something even more terrifying: deportation.

Without legal support, their voices may go unheard, and their future could be decided without compassion or care.

A Bond Unbroken

Sara does her best to care for Rana in the unfamiliar setting of the facility. She helps her with meals, reassures her during the long nights, and tries to make sense of what’s happening—all while dealing with her own fears.

Rana speaks very little, overwhelmed by the sudden separation from family and the uncertainty of their situation. She rarely lets go of her stuffed bear, which reminds her of home.

They need protection. They need advocacy. They need a chance.

Immigration law is complex, especially for unaccompanied minors. Sara and Rana urgently need an attorney to:

The total legal costs—including attorney fees, court filings, interpretation, and case management—are expected to exceed $10,000.

We’ve already raised part of that privately. Now, we’re asking for $3,000 to launch this campaign—covering urgent upfront fees and securing initial representation.

Every donation brings us closer to safety for Sara and Rana. If we surpass the initial goal, all additional funds will go toward their continued legal protection.
