Help Sara and Bronson Rebuild After Theft

Dear family, friends, and any new friends who support this story,
My name is Deborah. I’m reaching out to ask you to consider helping my daughter Sara and her husband Bronson recover financially from a few major incidents over the past several months.
They recently embarked on a new chapter in their lives by marrying in January 2024. Their new journey has been recently met with a series of overwhelming challenges. Sara, a licensed professional counselor who tirelessly helps those battling substance addictions, and Bronson, a dedicated business intelligence coordinator, have faced an intensifying sequence of unfortunate events that have left them undeniably financially strained.
Two weeks after celebrating their wedding day, their clothes dryer failed, forcing purchase of a replacement. Just a day later, Sara's car was stolen from their driveway. While the car was eventually recovered, it was beyond repair. Insurance provided a small relief, but they held off on replacement until they could find the best solution.
Then, the unthinkable happened. In the first week of August, through a terrible cybercrime perpetrated against them, all funds were stolen out of their bank account, including the money they were saving for a new car, along with wedding gift money they had not yet had a chance to use. The crime was diabolical. Sara received a call, supposedly from her bank, letting her know there was "suspicious activity" on her account and that a large wire transfer had just been taken. Sara knew better than to give any information over the phone and hung up. She then called the bank's listed customer service number, located on the back of their bank card.
Here's where it gets worse - when she called her bank's real and valid number, it was routed away from the bank by the scammers. Sara did not give out her social or bank account number, but did verify address, phone, etc. They, acting as if they were the bank, told her they were sending a verification link to her phone; when she clicked on it, that’s when all her money was wired out of her account by the scammers. They told her they would “investigate” and get back to her.
Later that same day, Sara got suspicious and called her bank via a different number; that’s when she learned that the first call she had placed had not actually reached the bank. She also learned that this has been happening at several major banks - scammers have been able to route calls away from the bank customer service line if the victim calls from the number the scammers called. She has since discovered that her bank has several class action lawsuits against them for similar occurrences. The bank has not implemented sufficient security measures and has not even warned its customers to be aware. And FDIC insurance does not cover this type of situation. Despite doing everything right, Sara and Bronson found themselves wiped out financially.
The bank's security flaws have left them without recourse, and FDIC insurance doesn’t cover this type of crime. All of their liquid funds are gone, and they still haven’t replaced Sara’s stolen car. To make matters more challenging, Bronson has just started a new job, and Sara is in the midst of a career transition as her current clinic is closing.
Sara has dedicated her life to helping others, earning a reputation as one of the best addiction counselors in Colorado Springs. She has touched countless lives, helping individuals overcome their struggles and rebuild their futures. Now, Sara and Bronson need our help to rebuild theirs.
Would you please help me make this rebuild a reality?
I’ve set a big goal to try to help them replenish what they lost, but any size donation is greatly appreciated to help them get back on their feet financially. Thank you for any support you can give! Please leave a message of encouragement as well and share how you know Sara or Bronson if applicable, or what motivated you to contribute if you have not met them personally. Your support will not only help them financially but also lift their spirits during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity,
God bless you!
