My wife, Meg, and I have a beautiful, smart, and sassy baby girl together, Mia. Although I (Sara) am on Mia’s birth certificate, it is unclear if my rights as a parent will be honored if our marriage is dissolved by the government or if something would happen to Meg. We have spoken with an attorney and are going to go through the process of adoption.
