Hello family and friends! Our brother, Santiago, who lives in a remote area in the mountains outside the town where we all grew up in Guatemala, had his pickup truck stolen at gunpoint last week while picking up construction supplies in Guatemala City. This was a harrowing event, which he only narrowly escaped without serious injury! Though we are all relieved that he was not sequestered or injured, the loss of his truck and everything in it has been a devastating blow to him as he relies on his truck both to get supplies up to his remote home from the nearest town, and also for his livelihood as a construction contractor. He currently does not have the funds to replace the truck and so risks loosing his only source of income.
