My name is Sandra, and I’m reaching out for help after the storm of 2024 turned my family’s life upside down. Our home was severely damaged and became unlivable, forcing my family of four to move between relatives’ homes and motels. We’ve now run out of funds, and we’re facing each day not knowing where we’ll sleep or how we’ll afford our next meal.

On top of losing our home, I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and urgently need surgery. At 76, it’s hard not knowing what tomorrow will bring, especially when I can’t work and my son is the only one able to support us. I’m doing my best to help my granddaughter get to school and keep our family together, but the uncertainty is overwhelming.
