Help Sandra and Robert After Fire
Donation protected
Like thousands of others, Sandra Lake, 88, and her son and caretaker, Robert, were forced to evacuate their home during the sudden outbreak of the Palisades Fire on January 7, 2025. This was the dream home Sandra and her late husband created together in 1970 to raise their five children — a place filled with decades of memories.
With only minutes to escape, they fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs as flames rapidly approached their property. While their home was miraculously spared from total destruction, the extent of damage remains unknown. Access to the property has been restricted due to hazardous conditions, and it is likely uninhabitable for many months. Heat, water, and smoke damage may require extensive repairs — or could even result in a complete loss.
Sandra and Robert are facing an uncertain and challenging road ahead. Funds raised will help them meet their basic needs during this difficult transition. We understand this is a trying time for many, but any contribution, no matter how small, would provide much-needed support. Please consider donating and sharing this page to help them rebuild their lives.
The Lakes have been an integral part of the Pacific Palisades for decades. Let's show up for them and help them find a sense of normalcy in this midst of this chaos.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
