A recent fire to three San Pedro businesses totally destroyed the businesses and the income/lives of the proprietors. Since no insurance is available, the business owners have experienced a total loss.
Luckily, no one was injured. The entire town pulled together, creating a "bucket-brigade" (seen in the second photo above) to extinguish the flames. Working together as a community, over 50 good citizens joined in to put out the fire and keep it from spreading.
The main business owner, Brunolito's (D. Bruno), wishes to not only rebuild his business but to help the town avoid tragedies like this in the future. He is asking to do this fundraiser, not for himself but to raise funds for the town's fire department to buy better and more relevant equipment in order to avoid tragedies like this in the future.
100% of all funds collected here will go to the San Pedro Town Fire Department.
In Dave's own words: Hello everyone, as you may or may not know, our small business "Brunolito's" burned and is a total loss. 100% of the contents and structures are unsalvageable and a total loss. Everyone escaped safely. Without insurance, Brunolito's and the surrounding businesses have suffered an immeasurable loss. If you would like to donate money to help the cause, the owner of Brunolito's will pledge 100% of the proceeds for new fire equipment for the San Pedro FD. Not one cent will go inappropriately; every dollar will go to improving community safety. We watched an entire community come together in what felt like minutes and formed a bucket brigade from the sea to the store. At the moment, Mr. Bruno is not available for comment. Mr. Bruno has limited communication abilities; he can be reached by local phone or word of mouth. Mr. Bruno is determined to rebuild. The only comment Mr. Bruno has at the moment is, "What defines us is how well we rise after the falling." We're looking forward to the rebuild. We will have a bigger and better store with more family-oriented activities. Brunolito's Village 2025, it's gonna be amazing.
We thank you for your help to bring better safety to our community.
