San Diego’s youth are facing a hygiene crisis. Youth experiencing homelessness in our city struggle every day to find clean bathrooms, showers, handwashing, and basic hygiene products, which puts them at higher risk for infections and makes it harder to attend school, work, or feel safe and dignified.​

Building Hope San Diego is a student‑led project from Del Norte High School raising awareness about this crisis and taking action. Your donation will fund hygiene kits for homeless and at‑risk youth and support hygiene programs through trusted local nonprofits, primarily San Diego Youth Services, and contribute to education and scholarship support so youth can keep moving toward college and stable futures.​

We are partnering with established San Diego organizations that already serve homeless youth to make sure all funds are handled transparently and used where they are needed most. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps a young person in San Diego stay healthier, feel human, and focus on their future instead of just surviving today.
