Hello, my name is Alison, and I am Sammie Vuja’s sponsor in the AA program. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and working with Sammie and her family for the past 6 years.

When Sammie and Nick’s first two children, Greyson and Maverick, were born, they weren’t in the best place to care for them. A family friend agreed to take the boys in for a time so they could get better. It has always been Sammie and Nick’s goal to have their children back with them. The family friend is no longer wanting to return the children to Sammie and Nick, even though they are still their legal parents with full custodial rights. This family friend has engaged them in a court custody battle.

Sammie and Nick welcomed another son into their family, Xander, and want nothing more than for their family to be whole. Sammie and Nick have remained sober for over 3 years. Nick is the sole provider for their family and has taken on an extreme financial burden because of the lawyer fees.
