Help Sami escape LGBT violence in the Middle East

Hey there! My name is Sami and I'm trying to raise funds to move from Egypt to the United States. The reason for this move is primarily to escape the threat of state-sanctioned violence and persecution against LGBT youth in Egypt. Thanks to some generous mutual aid that I have already been able to procure, I will have housing taken care of temporarily after landing, but funds are still needed to take care of both the plane ticket (~$800-$900) and other necessities upon arrival (~$600).

I have everything ready for the move and I plan on getting out of here by March. The longer I stay here, the more I risk detainment or worse. The only thing I'm missing is this financial help. After landing in the US, I'll be able to manage the rest. I just need to afford the plane ticket and enough to hit the ground running.
