Help Sami and His Family Survive in Gaza

Donazione protetta
This fundraiser was created by Amina Charef (France) on behalf of Sami Albreem.

Here is his story, told by his older brother, Salim , my friend.

Hello,
My name is Salim Albreem, I’m 19 years old. I’m from Palestine, from the Gaza Strip, in the city of Khan Younis, in the Bani Suhaila area.

Since the beginning of the war, my family and I have been displaced 13 times. Today, we are living in a makeshift tent in the coastal area of Mawasi, Khan Younis. We are 8 family members:
• My father Adam (42),
• My mother Hala (38),
• My brother Sami (17),
• My sister Malak (16),
• My brother Maher (13),
• My brother Abdullah (12),
• My little sister Jana (8),
• And me, Salim.

I’m writing to you today to share the story of my brother Sami, who was seriously injured while we were trying to get humanitarian aid in Rafah, in the Tel Al-Sultan area.

The day before, Sami had gone alone and managed to receive some aid, which gave me hope. On June 6th, at midnight, we decided to return together, along with a few friends. We walked more than 5 kilometers, from Khan Younis to Rafah, on foot, in the darkness, afraid but hopeful.

But we never reached the aid.

Suddenly, gunfire erupted. Bullets were flying all around us.
We hid behind a pile of rubble. After resting briefly, we crawled and ran again, desperate to reach the aid.
Then it happened: Sami was shot in the leg, right next to me. He screamed in pain and said:
“My leg hurts. I can’t feel it anymore.”

We had no phone, no flashlight, no way to see.
It was 3:30 in the morning, and everything was pitch black.
We begged people nearby to lend us a phone with a light.
When we finally got one, we saw the wound:
He was shot directly in the knee, and blood was pouring out.

That was just the beginning of the struggle.

We began to pull him slowly, crawling backward step by step. Then, we had to run over 3 kilometers to find a cart. We placed him on it and rushed him to the nearest emergency point, run by the Red Crescent.

My friends and I were completely exhausted.
But we did it — we got him there alive.

Now his treatment has started.
But we urgently need money to pay for surgery, medicine, and even basic food to support his recovery.

I’m begging you:
Please help save my brother’s leg.
I am deeply afraid that his leg may be amputated if we can’t get the treatment in time.

Every donation, no matter how small, truly matters.
Please share our story, and keep us in your prayers.
May God bless your kindness and generosity.

From Gaza, under the bombs, with hope

I will personally transfer the funds to Sami and his family whenever they are in need — whether for medical treatment, food, or any other urgent request. I can truly attest to their suffering, as I am in contact with them every single day.

Thank you for Sami ❤️
