Help Samantha and Family Through Health Crisis

Hello, my name is Kenneth Powis, my fiancés name is Samantha Spencer. 5 years ago she almost lost her life because of liver failure. It was a battle hard fought but after hospital stays, time in a nursing home, and home care learning how to walk again she overcame this rather well. We ended up having a beautiful rainbow baby even who is a year and a half old, times were actually very good, I found a job that could support them and things were really good!
fast forward to April of 2025. We both ended up getting a case of pneumonia. I mean, I’m healthy enough to have persevered and worked through it but with her being immunocompromised she ended up with sepsis and had to be hauled off to the hospital in an ambulance.
this is when things started going down hill. Her liver started showing signs of the cirrhosis again and her numbers were starting to go up and her blood pressure down.
they sent her home, she was feeling weak and out of breath but we gave it a little longer and I noticed her eyes started getting jaundice. On Memorial Day I took her into the Samaritan ER. I tried working through this but when they decided they were gonna send her to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. I just couldn’t focus anymore. It was time to go on FMLA.
They wouldn’t let me stay in Rochester so the baby stayed with her parents and I made the road trips each day (3hrs one way) to see her.
Thankfully after testing the great team of hepatologists have as of today all agreed she will be a perfect candidate for a transplant. However this is a process and I have to take care of her and my sons and this is looking long term
there have been a huge amount of love and support by family and friends and some have actually even helped out financially which I am totally grateful for. But with her needing 24/7 care, me waiting for FMLA approval, savings depleting rapidly. I’m seeing if there might be anyone out there who may be able to help out. The bills are starting to add up and she is on a specific diet that involves groceries that can’t be just ramen or processed. If you or anyone you know can help out, please share. Any little bit counts and as w who her donor will be, ever so much appreciated. .
Thank you for your time!
