Hello,

My name is Sam Daley. I am a 17 year-old Boy Scout working toward my Eagle rank. My Eagle Project is adding a teen area to the Maplewood Community Pool. The pool is the place where I learned to swim, met friends, and made memories over the years. The pool is vital to our community as it provides a place for us to congregate, learn a vital skill, and cool off during the hottest days of summer.

The goal of this project is to create a space where teenagers can socialize. The hope is that this will encourage teens to continue to be pool members, as there is a historical drop off in attendance for this age group.

For this project I will repair the volleyball court, install picnic table(s) and create a concrete cornhole playing area. This project requires many resources and volunteers, but it will be a welcome asset to the Maplewood Community Pool.
