Help Sam and Her Family During a Critical Time

Hi everyone,

My name is Brenda Rockstroh (Sam’s Mom), and I’m reaching out to share the story of my amazing daughter Sam. As many of you know, she is expecting her second baby girl soon. Sam has been diagnosed with severe preeclampsia that is a threat to her and their new baby's life. Sam has been admitted for a long-term hospital stay until the baby girl is delivered. It is likely that after delivery, our new granddaughter will need to spend a few weeks in the NICU. As Sam fights to recover and bring her newborn girl safely into the world, her 3-year-old daughter, Delila, is at home, needing care and support.

As of right now, Sam is being monitored around the clock, and they are trying to keep the baby girl from having to come into this world too soon. She is less than the 1st percentile for size and weight, so her doctors want her to grow more before delivery. They do not want Sam to go past 34 weeks before delivery due to the preeclampsia. If the baby girl cooperates and stays put until 34 weeks, Sam will be in the hospital for the next three weeks.
