Our Brave Little Warrior from Zamboanga Sibugay
Meet Salmo (Psalm) — our courageous little cousin from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines. From the moment he was born, Salmo has been fighting tremendous odds with unwavering strength and a bright smile.
He was born with:
- Imperforate anus
- Down syndrome
- Hypothyroidism
- Congenital heart disease (PDA)
Despite all these challenges, Salmo has already undergone two major surgeries and is now preparing for the third and final step:
✨ Colostomy Takedown/Closure Surgery ✨
This surgery will reconnect his colon and allow him to pass waste naturally — a life-changing moment for Salmo and our entire family.
Medical Journey So Far:
At just 2 days old, Salmo had a life-saving ileostomy at Zamboanga Doctors Hospital. He’s been bravely living with a colostomy bag ever since. On March 3, 2025, he underwent a successful PSARP surgery in Cebu City.
He's now undergoing dilation therapy — a crucial step in preparing for his final surgery.
Our Goal: PHP 250,000 (Approx. $4,500 USD)
This amount will cover:
- The colostomy takedown/closure surgery
- Hospital stay
- Medical supplies and post-operative care
Our family has exhausted all savings and taken out loans for his previous operations. We don’t have health insurance, so we’re now reaching out to kind-hearted people around the world for help.
