Hello, my name is Bonnie Banks and I am desperately trying to help my 22 year daughter, Sadie. Her mental health has been deteriorating for about 7 or 8 months. she was diagnosed with bipolar 1 about 3 weeks ago, after a very manic episode. She spent two weeks in a psychiatric hospital. They stabilized her some, but she is still not in great shape mentally. It’s also possible that she has schizo affective disorder. She is delusional and manic and sometimes angry. Her behavior led to her being kicked out of college about 3 weeks ago. She couldn’t function enough to go to class or work study for about two months. Her college is about 4 hours away and we had no idea just how badly she was suffering. She has been fearful and was not sharing anything with us.

she is now homeless and not stable enough to work, although she really wants to get a job again. She’s also very paranoid and scared.

Sadie is a beautiful, compassionate, intelligent, amazing young woman when not sick.

my other daughter and I are doing everything we can to help her heal. But this is very likely something she will be dealing with her entire life.

right now, she needs help with food and gas to go to her therapy appointments. She is temporarily staying at her sister’s house. So her appointments are over an hour away.

I am on a fixed income and just do not have the means to help her very much for financially.
