In loving memory of Shokat Iqbal – A Sadaqah Jariyah Well
We’ve come together to honour the life and legacy of our beloved father, Shokat Iqbal – someone whose presence left a lasting mark on everyone he met.
He was selfless and caring, always putting his family first, but his compassion extended far beyond our home. He treated everyone with genuine warmth and respect, whether they were lifelong friends, neighbours, or complete strangers.
People naturally gravitated towards him – he was well-liked, trusted, and remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, and the way he made others feel seen.
His absence is felt every day: in the quiet moments, in the laughter, and in the moments we wish we could still share with him. We carry that love with us always, and we hope this sadaqah jariyah brings him ongoing reward and reflects the goodness he lived by.

By establishing a borehole well in his name, we hope to continue the kindness and compassion he showed throughout his life.
By contributing to this noble cause, you will help provide life-sustaining water to individuals who endure daily hardships in their quest for this basic necessity. With £1,250, we can construct a borehole well in Uganda, Sierra Leone, or Kenya, supplying clean water to up to 1,000 people for the next ten years.
Every drop of water drawn from this well will be a blessing for Shokat Iqbal, as the rewards of Sadaqah Jariyah will continue to benefit him for as long as the well serves the community.
