WHAT DO WE DO?
We are the one-stop-shop for Sacramento relief: Donations fund buying meals from family-owned restaurants, which increases order volume and ultimately restoring shifts to furloughed employees. We then deliver the customized nutritious (and tasty) meals for hospital workers to eat for FREE.
Sacramento's hospital workers need energy and morale boost to power through these long 12-hour, 18-hour marathons---this applies for the nurses, for the hospital housekeepers, and the security! We do not forget anyone.
+ Donations fund protective masks, as well.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE?
what RISE prioritizes:
- We focus on partnering with family-owned restaurants who are struggling the most, even after the government's recent stimulus bill.
- Masks & PPE will first go to "low-priority" workers, as deemed by the hospital administrations. For instance, hospital housekeepers are often asked to clean rooms of patients positive for COVID-19 without masks.
- Collaborating with Arbonne International representatives, every meal includes a tasty Immune Booster pack. This is stirred into the hospital employees’ water to boost their immune system and energy (B12 vitamin).
how we work:
- We meet the donors and restaurants at their door and we take care of the delivery process to hospitals; other nonprofits leave delivery for restaurants to deal with, consuming the restaurant’s time and resources.
- Our user-friendly texting interface allows masks & PPE donors to simply text 555-888 with a pick-up location.
Our movement is rapidly expanding. With direct approval from Sutter Health NorCal Office of Philanthropy, we have developed streamlined delivery processes with:
1. Sutter Health of Downtown Sacramento
2. Sutter Health of Roseville
and Mercy Hospital of Folsom
LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN
$500 = 50 meals for an entire department. $100 can feed a pair of hospital employees for 2 weeks!

We can ensure that every hospital worker is protected against this virus and is properly nourished throughout the day -- all while creating business and protecting the jobs of locally-owned restaurants.
WHY DID I CREATE THIS ORGANIZATION?
1)
I was scrolling on Twitter one day when I noticed my friend since high school tweet:
"working without protective equipment sucks...Knowing I have to go home to my parents not knowing if I caught the virus today, sucks more."
My friend (let's name her "Kristen" for privacy) works in the Hospital as a housekeeper at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento.
Housekeepers create a clean and safe hospital. Workers like Kristen, are asked to clean rooms that just had COVID-19 patients and the potentially infected.
Because of the protective equipment shortage, she must find Nurse Leaders or Managers wherever they are.
Even then, a reason must be provided.
And even then, her requests are often denied because they are deemed "low priority".
With your help...Kristen will be able to clean with proper protection.
She will have her peace of mind. All while improving hospital efficiency & sanitation. She can relax at home sitting next to her parents.
2)
My family friend, Sami, owns a pizza & beer spot.
He had to fire or furlough 70% of his employees and shut down 1 location.
Sami & our partners already mention to me that the high number of orders from RISE's donated money is forcing the restaurants to happily re-hire their team+cooks! Thanks to you!
