Hi, my name is Sabrina, and during April, my family took an extremely hard hit in seeing my father's health decline rapidly after what should have been a simple procedure. He should have been home the next day, but instead, he was left in a worse and worse state as the days have gone by. It started with fluid filling his lungs that required a tracheotomy to attempt any draining. Then he had a mini-stroke, followed by a major one that left his brain bleeding days after, which led him from a standard hospital stay to being admitted into the ICU. He's currently at a rehab center to try and help him regain as much function as he can, but his odds aren't looking good.

His insurance was cut due to the unexpected absence from work, leaving him in even more danger as we have no way to pay his hospital bills. We're currently working on getting it reinstated, but at this moment in time, he's completely uninsured.

The suddenness of it all has left me, my paralyzed and bedridden mother, and our 4 pets with little to no funds to survive on. I'm unable to work and am her full-time caretaker, so we have no way of making money.

We were able to locate my dad's phone to access his side of our bank, but earlier this week, that phone went missing. I discovered just yesterday that someone close to us, who I thought we could trust, very likely stole it and has been draining what little money we had left. $3400/$9000 in a matter of days. We were able to freeze the account in preparation to attempt filing a fraud claim, but as of now, we basically have nothing. We have a bit of food left from our last grocery delivery, but July's bills will be arriving soon as the month arrives at its end, and we have no way to pay them.

We're scared and don't know what to do. Anything that can be donated helps; we just desperately need aid so we can last for even a few more months while we try to figure out what to do next.
