Ryan's Eagle Project - Replace benches at Whitney Highschool

My name is Ryan Hornick; I am a Boy Scout with Troop 435 in Rocklin, CA.

Many of you are familiar with our local high schools, especially Whitney High School. I want to give back to the school that has provided so many opportunities for me and other students. Outside the K1 (ROTC) building, there are six benches that students, including myself, use daily. Unfortunately, three of them are over a decade old and in dire need of replacement. These benches have served their purpose but are now weathered and unstable.

For my Eagle Scout project, I am leading the effort to replace these benches. Since Boy Scouts is a nonprofit organization, we must raise all the funds for this project ourselves. In addition to replacing the benches, we will be adding backrests, which were not included in the original design. The majority of the project’s cost will go toward purchasing lumber.

Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward making this project a success, thank you for making our community a better place.
