Help Ryan Bring Healing Music to High Holidays
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
For the last seven years, my absolute favorite thing I do is host a Contemplative Rosh Hashanah Experience for the Jewish High Holidays. We take out the dogma and explore a deeply personal experience of renewal and remembering through live music, meditation, contemplation, and community conversation.
THIS YEAR is important. Our first High Holidays after October 7th. Our hearts are broken and we need to be together. And this year, I am pulling out all the stops to make this deeply impactful for all of us.
I am honored to host it on October 4th at The Nova Exhibit in Los Angeles under a neon sign that says, "WE WILL DANCE AGAIN." Attendees will get to walk through the exhibit before sitting for our ceremony together.
Here's why I am asking for your support:
In the last two days, the most magical musical artists have come into my sphere. I asked for artists who, when they sing and play, "God falls out of their mouth/instrument." And I have found them. Well, they have found me. However, several are in Israel, so traveling them here, putting them up, and paying their fees is a stretch because we are keeping ticket costs low and want as much donation as possible to go to the Nova Tribe.
The Nova Tribe is providing mental health, healing, and wrap-around services to survivors and family members of deceased October 7th victims. I want us to raise endless money for this cause that will take decades for Israelis and Palestinians to recover from.
I believe deeply in always paying artists. And I need your help to do so.
I just ran the numbers. To have the musical program I am dreaming of that will transport us all to the infinite, it will cost between $30,000-$35,000 total. Sounds like a lot, but it adds up quickly and I am happy to share my budget if you'd like. That includes all performers, their travel and hotel, a producer to help me on the day of, printing materials, etc.
Full transparency, I don't make money from this event. It is a gift I love to give myself and our community.
Considering the hefty price tag, I am happy to kick in $10,000 from my savings and would love you to help me with the other $20,000.
If 1,000 people give $20, we are there.
If 500 people give $40, we are there.
If 100 people give $200, we are there.
If my work has meant anything to you, please help me make this a reality.
I love you, thank you,
Ryan
And stay tuned for tickets to join us - October 4 at 12:30 pm (doors open to the exhibit at 11 am).
