Hello all!

This is my mother, Ruth Hemphill. On June 14th, 2025, her oldest daughter, my big sister, Chauntae Love, passed away at the young age of 34. My mom has been living in Texas for a couple of years now and did everything in her power to make it to Minnesota to say goodbye to Chauntae. She exhausted all finances and options to get here, but she finally made it. A short hour after she arrived, she was saying goodbye and watching her beautiful baby take her last breath.

My mom had planned on moving back to Minnesota to be here for Chauntae as she knew she was sick and had planned on giving her a kidney or part of her liver. Chauntae's passing did not end that feeling of needing to come home; rather, it made it stronger. She has been struggling and exhausting all of her options to move back home. Due to not working while she was in Minnesota, she has gotten hardly any income since going back.

On July 19th, 2025, we are having another Celebration of Life for my sister at my mom's house, for all of Chauntae's family and friends that she has in Northern MN. My mom is also behind on rent and is on the brink of eviction, despite her efforts to continue paying rent for her home in Minnesota, on top of the things she has had going on. She had intended to be home already.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help her get home. She needs to be home for Chauntae's memorial, and she just needs to come home in general. She is mourning her daughter and is in a place that is making it hard for her to feel anything other than depressed and hopeless. Please help me get my mom home. This is our last effort to help her get home. Anything at all will help, even a share to get the word out. ❤️
