Hi, my name is Michelle (Shelle), and I’m fundraising to help my Indonesian friend, Rusdi.

I’ve known Rusdi for over 10 years, since we first met at his shop in Bali. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how hard he works to support his family. During COVID, when tourism in Bali completely stopped, I did what I could to help — sending money for food and basic necessities when there was no income coming in.

Sadly, Rusdi has found himself in difficult circumstances once again after a business deal went wrong. In order to make things right, he is now required to pay $500 out of his own pocket. While that amount may not seem overwhelming to some, in Indonesia it represents a huge financial burden.

Rusdi has already tried to get a bank loan, but it was declined. His only remaining option is to sell the family’s motorbike — which is essential for daily life and work.

My hope is that, together, we can help lift this financial weight off Rusdi and his family, allowing them to move forward with grace and without losing something so important to their livelihood. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to them and help turn a very stressful situation into one filled with hope and relief.
