Help Rumtumtugger walk again

Greetings from Marvellous Menagerie!

For those who aren’t familiar with us, we are an animal rescue based in Waseca, MN, which specializes in foxes, mink, and neonatal kittens. We need your help for one of those kittens, who has grown into a handsome boy and has gotten himself in trouble.

Rumtumtugger (named for the character in the musical “Cats”) is a friendly, boisterous little guy. He waits for his foster mom at the door when she gets home from work, tells her all about his day, and after that will ride around on her shoulder supervising. He doesn’t want to miss out on any details. Unbeknownst to anyone, he was also a little guy with congenital hip dysplasia, which put him at high risk for dislocating one or both of his hips. And though we don’t know how, it has happened.

Tugger has dislocated both of his hips, and needs to have a specialized surgery called an FHO. The good news is, the prognosis for cats who need an FHO is excellent, and once he heals, he’ll be bopping around like a normal cat in no time.

The bad news is, the surgery will cost us $6000.

We are asking for your help to cover the cost of the surgery for Tugger. Anything you can spare is appreciated. We want to get this done as soon as possible, to relieve Tugger from the pain he is in and to get him back to the search for his forever home.
