Help Ruba and Her Family
Donazione protetta
Hello, I am Ruba Jihad Al-Hams from the city of Rafah. Over the past months, I have watched the Israeli bombing of Gaza getting closer and closer to my home. I'm an eighteen year old high school student, and I have hopes; I have dreams. I am passionate about reading and learning. I have a lot of plans for my life, and many of them were stopped when Israel destroyed everything. My home, my school, my younger sister, Rose, in the seventh grade, Moataz, in the eighth grade, who is sick with a heart, Ruaa, in high school, who is sick (FMF), Rasha, a university student, and Rana Somia, a media celebrity. Maher is married and has two children (Rana and Jihad). Because of the destruction of schools, including my own, I fell behind my peers in education. Despite the war, I am determined to start over
And progress but I also need reassurance that my family is safe. Instead of being able to study and enjoy time with my family, we found ourselves living in miserable conditions imposed by Israel's genocidal war. Air strikes and daily bombing continued for more than ten months, depriving us of sleep, in addition to 17 years of siege, during which Israel continued to prevent basic supplies, including food, fuel and drinking water.
Medicines, electricity, even the most basic necessities become scarce and we often stand in long queues just to get flour from UNRWA, when it is available. But since the United States began its campaign to abolish UNRWA, this has become impossible. ~ I rejected the idea of a connection, but there was an urgent need for it. Our situation forced us to seek safety in Egypt. Your generosity and support can make a huge difference in saving our lives. The only way out of Gaza is through the Rafah crossing, which requires a fee of $5,000 per adult and $3,500 per child. The total amount my family needs to get out of Gaza is $55,500.
My family consists of 9 adults and 3 children. The horror we are experiencing is unimaginable. The constant air strikes and bombings have changed our lives into a daily battle for survival. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ensure our safe journey out of Rafah towards a safer place in Egypt. Your generosity will provide us with an opportunity to rebuild our lives. I hope for your support, a God who desperately needs you..
