My name is roy, and I’ve always been someone who helped others. In 2023, my life changed completely when I had a massive heart attack and was without a heartbeat for 20 minutes. Not long after, I suffered a stroke and learned I had actually experienced several strokes without knowing it. I worked full-time as a mechanic, but after all of this, I just couldn’t do my job like I used to. I lost my job, my home, and most of my friends. Now, I’m homeless, and my little dog is my only constant companion. My sister has been trying to help, but things are really hard right now.

I never thought I’d be in this position, depending on government help and waiting for social security to come through. I’ve been denied once already and am still waiting to hear back. I do get food stamps, but it’s not enough. I’m not used to asking for help, and it’s hard to reach out to strangers, but I don’t know what else to do. I just want a safe place to live with a kitchen, so I can start to rebuild my life and take care of my dog. Your support would help me cover basic living expenses, medical bills, and give me hope for the future.
